A method of time-time analysis: The TT-transform
نویسندگان
چکیده
A novel technique of analysis of an arbitrary primary time series into a set of secondary, timelimited, local, constituent time series, the TT-transform, is presented. The time–time representation is derived from the S-transform, a method of representation of a real time series as a set of complex, time-localized spectra. When integrated over time, the S-transform becomes the Fourier transform of the primary time series. Similarly, when summed over the primary time variable, the TT-transform reverts to the primary time series. The invertibility of the TT-transform points to the possibility of filtering and signal to noise improvements in the time domain, and some insight into the localized spectra of the S-transform. 2003 Elsevier Inc. Residual analysis using Fourier series transform in Fuzzy time series model
In this paper, we propose a new residual analysis method using Fourier series transform into fuzzy time series model for improving the forecasting performance. This hybrid model takes advantage of the high predictable power of fuzzy time series model and Fourier series transform to fit the estimated residuals into frequency spectra, select the low-frequency terms, filter out high-frequency term...
متن کاملBarley Productivity Decomposition in Iran: Comparison of TT, GI, MGI, and GTTI Approaches
In this paper, the authors present new indices for estimating technical change, return to scale, and TFP growth, as well as its decomposition. These indices, Modified General Index (MGI), Generalized Modified General Index (GMGI), and General Time Trend index (GTTI), are generalization of General Index approaches. These approaches were used for productivity decomposition of Iran's barely produc...
متن کاملA Time-Frequency approach for EEG signal segmentation
The record of human brain neural activities, namely electroencephalogram (EEG), is generally known as a non-stationary and nonlinear signal. In many applications, it is useful to divide the EEGs into segments within which the signals can be considered stationary. Combination of empirical mode decomposition (EMD) and Hilbert transform, called Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT), is a new and powerful ...
متن کاملApplication of Single-Frequency Time-Space Filtering Technique for Seismic Ground Roll and Random Noise Attenuation
Time-frequency filtering is an acceptable technique for attenuating noise in 2-D (time-space) and 3-D (time-space-space) reflection seismic data. The common approach for this purpose is transforming each seismic signal from 1-D time domain to a 2-D time-frequency domain and then denoising the signal by a designed filter and finally transforming back the filtered signal to original time domain. ...
متن کاملSynchrosqueezing-based Transform and its Application in Seismic Data Analysis
Seismic waves are non-stationary due to its propagation through the earth. Time-frequency transforms are suitable tools for analyzing non-stationary seismic signals. Spectral decomposition can reveal the non-stationary characteristics which cannot be easily observed in the time or frequency representation alone. Various types of spectral decomposition methods have been introduced by some resear...
